Reviews from young adults
“Writing book reviews is easy but not when you want to share everything you've just read. This is how I felt after reading the Gen Z Pocketbook. What I love the most about the Pocketbook is that it doesn't feel like you're reading some self-help book where the author is trying to convince everyone of how awesome they are. No, it feels like you're talking to someone. Someone who's being honest about what she's been through and the lessons she's learnt along her journey. The general push of the book is so that you develop a high sense of individuality and identity. Qualities that you definitely need to have if you're going to slay at this life thing. Thank you for this Rumbi and I'd recommend this book to everyone who's reading this. Your best life awaits and the Pocketbook book is one tool you need to have in your slay kit!”

“Ever needed a guide and a little clarity about school and just life in general? From grades and self development, to dating and finding fulfilment, Rumbidzayi Munyaradzi shares relevant and helpful tips for every high school girl trying to navigate their way through life in her pocketbook.
I liked that the subject of the chapters was broken down and explained very clearly, and that they came with a set of questions to help with mindfulness and self reflection. I also like how this book encourages you to seek out more information, the back of the book actually listing many helpful references. The book also includes quotes here and there, my favourite being the one by Coco Chanel:
"A girl should be two things: who and what she wants."
I highly recommend this book to every teenage girl looking to better herself and the world around her.”

“ I really like The Gen Z Pocketbook for Teenage Girls! I found it so relatable 😅 and well, it felt special knowing that someone decided to write a guide book specifically for my gender. If I say that I was looking for something like this I would be lying😳, it sort of just popped up on my Instagram home page and well, since I'm a book worm, I decided let me read it😄. I read it and I loved it, from the illustrations to the cute little quotes to the thought provoking advice and questions. It's the bomb😆🖐🏼. The chapters are so carefully detailed and you really feel that the author was actually human and she made mistakes and she's sharing her experiences, giving advice on how to avoid those mistakes (or at least, making less disastrous ones😂). I was super happy about the chapters on Social Media, Friends and Dating🤐 As a teenager, these are obstacles that I face at school, at home and sometimes, I personally make some bad decisions about these three 😐and it was really motivating to read that there isn't any judgement about that in the book, it's not one of those long boring lecture ones, it's precise, straight to the point and non-judgemental.
To conclude, teenagerhood is the basis of adult life but it doesn't mean that when you're older, you won't ask yourself the same questions that you are now. You probably will 🌝 which makes this book so great, it reminds you of these certain questions that you should ask yourself before you do anything consequential 🌝✨
P.S. What with the changing times, technology and all, we really needed an updated life guide😅and well, this is it ☺️”

“Miss Munyaradzi managed to give me that time to pause, think and then decide. This book put me on a journey to self-actualisation that I never thought I could embark on. It truly made me re-evaluate my decisions and think about what I was doing, not only academically but with this whole life thing. This was a beautiful book that I encourage my peers and all teenagers to read and keep close for when you have no idea where life is taking you.”

Reviews from educators
“The Gen Z Pocketbook speaks volumes to issues that we are striving to embed in the girls we work with. Having the mission of empowering girls and young women to be active agents of their own development through igniting the power within, the Pocketbook has proven to be one of the remarkable guides.
What strikes me the most and why l would recommend for others to read it is it's uniqueness in infusing the THINK, DO, BE elements in all topics covered (e.g leadership, self-love and relating with others etc). Hence, it creates a balanced perspective of the person each of our girls envisions themselves to be. This Pocketbook will not only be helpful to girls but those who interact with girls on a daily basis as it brings to light the key elements that make or break oneself, it surely does strike a chord.”

“This book is a must-have for all teenage girls looking to gain direction on the concept of "self" and the meaningful relationship gems that result from mentorship. Navigating Fourth Industrial Revolution skillsets has become the norm and this book gives clear and concise roadmaps on how to navigate the introspection process needed to fully recognise one's strengths in order to choose a fulfilling career path and to recognise how important the concept of self-actualisation is in being the best version of yourself. It's useful as a quick reference guide to parents and guardians too!”
- Victoria Ngono, Girls In STEM Trust
“In a fast-paced and ever-changing world, we all need a guide to help us navigate through the twisted, winding and hurdle-filled roads of life. The Gen Z Pocketbook is one such guide that not only lights the pathways by inspiring hope but gives the means to get to one’s desired career destination. Our country Zimbabwe is filled with interminable limitations and very little hope for a better future. This book shines a way out of the depths of despair into the world of opportunity, and the prospect of a better life through a succession of choices expressed in this gem of a book.”
- Christine Mpofu, Petra College Senior
“The Gen Z Pocketbook is a handy user-friendly read for assisting youngsters navigate the murky waters of developing into maturity. It is recommended for both the young people and parents/caregivers given the dynamic generation differences present.”
- Edmond Mudzimu, Millenial Academy
“This transformational book is a must have for every young person entering into high school or even university.”
